lyrics
I’ve made two of all you see
One in hand one out of reach
Stoic still though prize betrays
Pull at life in waste of rains
How long were you
Awake to what you know to be true
A thousand smaller choices yield
A single flowered mind
Regret at once the wandering
You did okay, you did alright, you did fine
I’ve cut half of what you know
Take in faith and in mind
Channels worn for separate ways
Drawn to light of dying day
Glorious the sight of it glorious
Distilled at last the task at hand to pushing gears
A thousand separate movements yield
Forward only aimless yet
Crooked paths are no cause for worry
You did okay, you did alright, you did fine
However in reflected flow
Draining from familiar shapes
A prize afloat with sullen eyes
Lifeless as our every fate
Press along the edge of open
Drop questions cloaking comfort
The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
